A sample ballet class introduces the fundamentals of ballet technique, history and classical music. Volunteers from the audience are asked to join our dancers on stage to try some steps out for themselves. SCB then presents excerpts from various ballets such as The Nutcracker or Cinderella. The dancers perform in beautiful traditional costumes to the music of classical composers. In our Nutcracker demonstration the dancers and audience journey to the magical Land of the Sweets. This holiday tradition is a wonderful way to introduce young people to the world of ballet. We also have a story ballet presentation for the spring season as well as a repertoire series that might be compatible with your syllabus. This is a unique way to bring classical literature to life.
