About the Company

The Saratoga City Ballet Company is a not-for-profit organization providing serious dance students with professional instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern, with opportunities to participate in quality productions. SCB strives for a high level of artistic achievement and to inspire and promote developing young dancers.  SCB offers ballet classes as well additional dance classes such as jazz, modern and core workouts for children, teens and adults.

Dancers from the Saratoga City Ballet School are invited to audition for roles in the company’s two annual productions. 2018 marked the company’s 25th Nutcracker production, which has become a local favorite. The company has also mounted ballets and ballet excerpts such as Giselle, Les Sylphides, Coppelia, and Cinderella. The company also commissions local choreographers to set original pieces on the company which include contemporary and modern works.

The Saratoga City Ballet performs locally at Skidmore College Dance Theater, The Egg in Albany, as well as other venues around the capital region. They have appeared at area events and local organizations including:
