Leg warmers, socks and a thin ballet sweater are sufficient for a dancer to warm up in. No loose clothing allowed. Dancers should enter the studio with their class attire on. Do not use the studio as your dressing room. Hair must be worn completely off the neck in a tight fitting bun. Neat bangs are permitted. Please do not wear colored nail polish to class. No jewelry, with the exception of small earrings, is allowed, especially watches and necklaces, which can cause injury. Do not leave any valuables in the dressing rooms. We are not responsible for lost items. Etiquette The Saratoga City Ballet School is committed to upholding the traditions of classical ballet. Dance is an art form that demands discipline and mutual respect. We are a pre-professional school, meaning that those attending have aspirations to a possible career in dance, either as a performer or a teacher. We expect our students to behave in a way befitting that of any serious dance student and act with decorum, both in and out of the studio. Students are to behave courteously to faculty and their peers at all times. For the benefit of others, any student causing disruptions during class will be asked to leave or sit out. Some basic rules of the studio:
We strive to cultivate a nurturing, open, and supportive environment for all who attend the Saratoga City Ballet School. Any student or parent who disturbs this harmony will be dismissed from the school.
